Never Before

I love you like I never loved before.
Tigers, wolves and dragons in me roar.

My words and actions fail me,
the ground is rumbling like a train.
I’ve got a tin cup of black coffee.
 I’m watching my shoes collect the rain.
I would wait forever
just like any other fool,
I'll stumble in my resolve
but I would stop the world for you.
Good intentions caught in tendrils
get lost among the evening shade.
They go unnoticed and slip through cracks;
as if the travail was never made.

I love you like I never loved before.
The phoenix inside me intrepidly soars.
