i've been up since six am
and drinking since ten.
the suns going down later
than i expected.
you were there laughing
at your own shadow.
you said it looked like
four and twenty blackbirds.
the ground shook beneath us.
blades of grass,
colorful scrap metal,
and the warped metallic
echoes of steel strings over electricity.
i felt like i couldn't breath
from time to time
but it wasn't a bad feeling.
it wasn't like having the spins
and feeling the o2
just wasn't hitting my blood.
it was like everything
was temporarily in sync.
my thoughts
the colors
your laughing
rich music
no words binding
or seperating
and my breathing was the one thing
i was trying to control.
it was the only thing
that didn't seem to know it's place
